About Storage Finds 29

Some of my fondest memories as a child and young adult were going to second hand stores with my mother. We always had fun, never knowing what treasure or oddity we might come across. In 1999 I realized a long time dream, and opened my own Second Hand store and I’ve been in business ever since. The Business names have come and gone, and I’ve even changed my focus a time or two, but in the end it was pretty much the same. Earlier this year I ended up needing to close my storefront due to Covid-19 and so now I’m working from home.

I get a lot of my inventory from Storage-units when they are auctioned off. I sell the more valuable items I find while donating things like clothing and other household Items I find to local non-profits, I often donate the blankets I find to a no-kill Dog shelter to keep the dogs comfortable throughout our winter months. I truly enjoy dealing with jewelry, buying and selling it.  Most of the small pieces of jewelry I come across I tend to save, and smelt, because I’ve discovered how much I enjoy it.
